The instruction monograph entitled "CONSTRUCTION OF A MAKSUTOV TELESCOPE" BY WARREN I. FILLMORE which covers the fabrication of the optical components and the fabrication of the telescope housing and mechanical components.

Please note that the monograph describes other items required to fabricate the optical components for the Maksutov telescope, i.e., depth gauges, a gauge bar, etc. Prior to starting this project, it is recommended that you purchase the monograph and review what will be required and the procedures you will have to follow.

The optical tooling and optical system blanks are priced individually so that the fabricator can select the material he requires and has an opportunity to substitute items of his own making. All items listed above are diamond generated with the exception of the reference flat that is ground on one face and polished flat on the other.
