SECTION V - HEALTH HAZARD DATA |
PRIMARY ROUTE(S) OF ENTRY: | EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE (EO) OR FIRST AID (FA): |
INHALATION: Could
irritate the respiratory channels. Avoid breathing fumes from molten rosin. |
Provide ventilation to
control exposure levels below air exposure limits. Use NIOSH approved dust & fume respirators See a doctor |
INGESTION: Accidental | See a doctor |
SKIN: Could be a skin
irritate. Contact with molten rosin will cause thermal burns followed by solidification on, and adhered to the skin. |
Wear protective gloves
to minimize skin contact. Wash with soap and water Contact a doctor . |
EYE: Could cause eye irritation and eye redness | Wear chemical safety
goggles or glasses with side safety shields. Flush eye with clean water |
GENERAL FIRST AID: Burn from molten rosin on skin: Cool affected area as soon as possible in cold water. Be sure to leave rosin in place. Smother the rosin & affected area with Furacin soluble dressing. Cover affected area with protective bandage. As burn heals, rosin will loosen from the flesh & flake off. Severe burns require additional medical treatment. |
