Diagonals are supplied fine annealed with both faces ground. The thickness ratio is based on the 6:1 rule and is determined using the minor axis plus a discretion amount being added where it was considered advisable. If thinner diagonals are desired, please send a drawing of the required blank with the dimensional requirements to facilitate our quotation process.

NOTE: If you are going to attempt to polish the diagonal yourself, you are going to need supporting glass of the same type around the outside circumference. These supporting pieces should be of equal height with the diagonal's surface to lessen the chances of rolling the edges as you grind and polish the diagonal face.

*CUSTOM DIAGONAL: Other sizes can be made to meet the requirement of the fabricator. This includes diagonals made from Pyrex, fused silica, quartz, low expansion ceramics and other materials. Please submit a drawing with the dimensional sizes required to facilitate our quotation process.
